Thinking about planning for an upcoming field trip? Why not bring your class to the Milky Way Organic Farm in Ira for a fun farm experience? The Milky Way is a perfect place to explore the outdoors and learn in a way far different than a traditional classroom. At the Milky Way, our programs are tailored for your needs and may connect with the curriculum and Vermont Education Standards.

A variety of hands-on-activities afford opportunities to experience a bit of farm living and learn about the importance of farms in our lives.

                             During Your Visit...

Hear about our beautiful Jersey cows and discover where your milk comes from.

See our dairy barm and meet the cows, heifers, and calves. You can try hand miling one of our "Ladies" if you want!

Touch our barnyard friends in the Petting Farm area. They love to have visitors!

Taste a delicious and nutritious organic snack that you will help make.

Smell the fresh country air and Vermont's unique perfume!
